      On August 26, 2023<\/b><\/span>, second-year students from the Computer Science (English Program)<\/b><\/span> at the School of Information Technology, KMUTT<\/b><\/span> organized \u201cCS First Date 2023\u201d<\/b><\/span> \u2014 a welcome activity designed to build positive connections among junior and senior students, while also encouraging communication in English through fun and engaging activities.<\/p>\n

     The event welcomed 55 first-year students<\/b><\/span>, both Thai and international, along with over-more than 60 senior-upperclassmen students<\/b><\/span>. All activities were conducted entirely in English to ensure inclusivity for international students, who currently make up a significant portion of the CS program.<\/p>\n

\ud83c\udfaf Morning Activities
<\/b>The day began with ice-breaking games<\/b><\/span> and four interactive stations:<\/p>\n

        These games emphasized teamwork and communication, with students divided into mixed \u201chouse teams\u201d made up of both Thai and international members.<\/p>\n

      \ud83d\udcf1CSFD Web Application<\/b><\/p>\n

          The event concluded with the \u201cCS Family Reveal\u201d<\/b><\/span> through a custom-built web application called \u201cCSFD\u201d<\/b><\/span>, developed by second-year CS students. This tool included functions for matching mentor-mentee pairs, providing hints, and viewing brief profiles of Year 1\u20132 students.<\/p>\n

          Thanks to the strong collaboration between organizers and participants, the event successfully fostered a friendly atmosphere and valuable learning experiences \u2014 achieving its mission of building both community<\/b><\/span> and confidence<\/b><\/span> for new CS@SIT students.<\/p>\n
