CS@SIT Hackathon Camp 2017

The School of Information Technology (SIT), KMUTT organized the “CS@SIT Hackathon 2017” camp from May 24–27, 2017 on the 4th floor of the SIT Building. This camp, held for the second time, was designed to enhance the programming skills of first-year Computer Science (CS) students, as well as develop essential soft-skills required in professional environments.

Led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Chonlameth Arpnikanondt, Chair of the Computer Science program, the event focused on hands-on learning, teamwork, and real-world problem-solving. The camp provided students with an opportunity to apply their in-class knowledge in practical scenarios, while also promoting collaboration and communication.

The first two days of the camp involved problem-solving challenges under the Hackathon format, where students developed applications based on given problem domains. Workshops were also conducted to provide hands-on learning, supported by instructors and senior students who acted as mentors throughout the event.

On the final day, participants presented their projects to peers, instructors, alumni, and parents. The event also featured a special panel discussion titled “CS@SIT Career Paths”, with invited companies sharing insights into career opportunities and expectations in the tech industry. This experience not only inspired students but also helped them understand how their academic journey aligns with future professional goals.
