SIT Hackathon 2024 Transforming Ideas into Web Application Realities เปลี่ยนความคิดให้กลายเป็นเว็บแอปพลิเคชัน

          เมื่อวันที่ 28 พฤษภาคม – 4 มิถุนายน 2567 ที่ผ่านมา คณะเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าธนบุรี จัดกิจกรรม “SIT Hackathon 2024” ณ Classroom 4/2 ชั้น 4 อาคารคณะเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ (SIT) และ Training Room 10/3 ชั้น 10 อาคารการเรียนรู้พหุวิทยาการ (LX) ผู้เข้าร่วมในครั้งนี้ ประกอบไปด้วย นักศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 1 ในหลักสูตรศิลปศาสตรบัณฑิต สาขาวิชานวัตกรรมบริการดิจิทัล (DSI) ที่ลงทะเบียนวิชา DSI105 Programming for Digital Services จำนวน 33 คน นักศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 1 ในหลักสูตรวิทยาศาสตรบัณฑิต สาขาวิชาวิทยาการคอมพิวเตอร์ (CS) ที่ลงทะเบียนวิชา CSC105 Web Application Development จำนวน 52 คน นักศึกษาฝึกงานจาก University of Toronto และ Universiti Teknologi Brunei จำนวน 2 คน นักศึกษาศิษย์เก่าหลักสูตร CS จำนวน 5 คน และกลุ่มนักศึกษาผู้จัดงาน จำนวน 21 คน โดยมี ผศ. ดร.ณรงค์ฤทธิ์ วราภรณ์ คณบดีคณะเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ และผศ. ดร.ชลเมธ อาปณิกานนท์ รองคณบดีด้านพัฒนาความเป็นสากล และประธานหลักสูตรวิทยาศาสตรบัณฑิต สาขาวิชาวิทยาการคอมพิวเตอร์ เป็นประธานเปิดกิจกรรม

          กิจกรรมดังกล่าวมุ่งเน้นและส่งเสริมให้ใช้ความรู้ที่ได้รับจากการเรียนมาประยุกต์และพัฒนาออกมาในรูปแบบของเว็บแอปพลิเคชันภายใต้ระยะเวลาที่จำกัด กิจกรรมแบ่งออกเป็น 2 กลุ่ม คือ กลุ่ม 1 Hackathon 28 ชั่วโมง สำหรับนักศึกษาหลักสูตร CS ตั้งแต่วันที่ 31 พฤษภาคม – 2 มิถุนายน และกลุ่ม 2 Mini Hackathon สำหรับนักศึกษาหลักสูตร DSI ตั้งแต่วันที่ 28 พฤษภาคม – 4 มิถุนายน โดยนักศึกษาได้ลงมือปฏิบัติจากโจทย์จริง อีกทั้งยังมีอาจารย์ นักศึกษาปัจจุบัน และศิษย์เก่าให้คำปรึกษาตลอดกิจกรรม นอกจากนี้ในวันสุดท้ายของกิจกรรมจัดให้มีการนำเสนอผลงานต่อเพื่อนนักศึกษา คณาจารย์ และศิษย์เก่า นักศึกษาสามารถนำข้อเสนอแนะ ข้อติชมต่าง ๆ ไปปรับปรุง เปลี่ยนแปลง และพัฒนาทักษะในอนาคตเพิ่มขึ้นได้อีก

          From May 28 to June 4, 2024, the School of Information Technology at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi organized the “SIT Hackathon 2024” event. It took place in Classroom 4/2 on the 4th floor of the School of Information Technology (SIT) building and in Training Room 10/3 on the 10th floor of the Learning Exchange (LX) building. The participants included 33 first-year students from the Bachelor of Arts in Digital Service Innovation (DSI) program who were enrolled in the DSI105 Programming for Digital Services course, 52 first-year students from the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (CS) program who were enrolled in the CSC105 Web Application Development course, 2 interns from the University of Toronto and Universiti Teknologi Brunei, 5 alumni from the CS program, and 21 event organizer students. The event was chaired by Asst. Prof. Dr. Narongrit Waraporn, Dean of the School of Information Technology, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Chonlameth Arpnikanondt, Associate Dean for Internationalization and Chairperson of the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.

          The “SIT Hackathon” aimed to encourage students to apply their knowledge to develop and implement solutions for predetermined problems in web application development within a limited time. The event was divided into two groups: Group 1, a 28-Hour Hackathon for CS students from May 31 to June 2, and Group 2, a Mini Hackathon for DSI students from May 28 to June 4. Students actively worked on real-world challenges with guidance from course instructors, mentors, and alumni throughout the event. Additionally, there was a presentation to fellow students, professors, and alumni on the final day. Students could use the suggestions and comments to improve and further develop their skills in the future.
