SIT KMUTT ต้อนรับผู้เชี่ยวชาญ NASA JPL หารือความร่วมมือเทคโนโลยีอวกาศ จัดบรรยายพิเศษ AI & Digital Twin

วันที่ 5 พฤศจิกายน 2568 คณะเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าธนบุรี (SIT, KMUTT) ได้ให้การต้อนรับ Dr. Edward Chow (Program Manager of Civil Program Office and Deputy Director of Space Quantum innovation Center, NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Caltech) ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้าน Artificial Intelligence (AI) และ Digital Twin

ในเวลา 14.00 – 15.30 น. Dr. Chow ได้ร่วมพูดคุยแลกเปลี่ยนแนวคิดกับอาจารย์กลุ่ม Data Science, Engineering and Management ของคณะฯ อาทิ รศ. ดร.บัณฑิต วรรธนาภา, รศ. ดร.พรชัย มงคลนาม, ดร.วทัญญู สุขเสงี่ยม และ ดร.ชัยธวัช สง่าเมือง เพื่อหารือแนวทางความร่วมมือทางวิชาการและการวิจัยระหว่าง SIT มจธ. และ NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) ในอนาคต โดยเฉพาะในด้านการประยุกต์ใช้เทคโนโลยี AI และ Digital Twin เพื่อการสำรวจอวกาศ

ต่อมาในเวลา 15.30 น. ได้มีการจัดบรรยายพิเศษหัวข้อ “Integrating Artificial Intelligence and Digital Twin Technologies for Earth and Lunar Exploration” ณ ห้อง 4/2 ชั้น 4 อาคารคณะเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ โดยมีคณาจารย์และนักศึกษาจำนวนกว่า 50 ท่านเข้าร่วมรับฟังอย่างสนใจ

การบรรยายดังกล่าวเปิดโอกาสให้นักศึกษาได้เรียนรู้และซักถามเกี่ยวกับแนวทางการประยุกต์ใช้เทคโนโลยี AI และ Digital Twin ในภารกิจสำรวจโลกและดวงจันทร์ ตลอดจนเข้าใจถึงศักยภาพของเทคโนโลยีในการพัฒนางานวิจัยและนวัตกรรมเพื่ออนาคต ซึ่งเป็นส่วนสำคัญในการส่งเสริมองค์ความรู้ด้านเทคโนโลยีอวกาศและวิทยาศาสตร์ข้อมูลให้กับประชาคม SIT

On November 5, 2025, the School of Information Technology, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (SIT, KMUTT), had the honor of hosting Dr. Edward Chow, Program Manager of Civil Program Office and Deputy Director of Space Quantum innovation Center at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), Caltech. Dr. Chow is a leading expert in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Twin technology.

From 02:00 PM to 03:30 PM, Dr. Chow held a fruitful discussion with SIT’s Data Science, Engineering and Management faculty members, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bunthit Watanapa, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pornchai Mongkolnam, Dr. Watanyoo Suksa-ngiam, and Dr. Chaitawat Sa-Ngamuang, to explore future academic and research collaboration between SIT and NASA JPL, particularly focusing on applying AI and Digital Twin in space exploration.

Following the discussion, a special lecture titled “Integrating Artificial Intelligence and Digital Twin Technologies for Earth and Lunar Exploration” was held at Room 4/2, 4th Floor of the SIT building, drawing an audience of over 50 faculty members and students.

The lecture provided students with a unique opportunity to learn about the application of AI and Digital Twin in Earth and Lunar missions and understand the technologies’ potential in driving future research and innovation in the space and data science domains.
